Let's be honest, Scrappy is easily the best companion you could ask for in this game. But if you want him to actually do something besides look cute, you have got to upgrade his scavenging skills. That means you need to find Prickly Pears. It sounds easy enough, right? You would think you could just walk up to a cactus and grab one. Unfortunately, it is way more complicated than that. While you are out scavenging for general ARC Raiders Items to build up your loadout, you will quickly realize these fruits are a total nightmare to locate. If you do not know exactly where to look, you are going to be wandering the wasteland for hours with absolutely nothing to show for it.

Technically, these things are supposed to drop from cacti all over the map. You have to look closely at the ground near the base of the cactus. Stick strictly to the Nature zones and ignore the rest.
